Women Receive Their...

May 10, 2026    Campus Pastor Matthew De Leon

In this special Mother’s Day message, we look to the courageous example of Jael in Judges 4 — a woman who understood the sacred calling of protecting her home. Jael’s boldness reminds us that motherhood is not passive. It is discerning, powerful, and deeply anchored in faith. Her actions shifted the destiny of a nation, showing us what happens when a woman stands firm in her God‑given purpose.

We also reflect on the Proverbs 31 woman — a biblical standard especially meaningful for women who may not have had a mother figure to guide them. Scripture shows that God Himself shapes women into vessels of wisdom, strength, and virtue. He equips them to rise, build, nurture, and lead with grace.

At the heart of today’s message is Hebrews 11:35:

“Women received their dead raised to life again.”

This powerful verse captures the fierce, unshakable faith women carry for their families. Mothers often believe for miracles long before anyone else can see them. Their prayers resurrect hope. Their love restores what is broken. Their faith breathes life into places that feel lost.

Today, we honor and thank our mothers — for their sacrifices, their hugs, their love, their prayers, and their unwavering faith. Whether biological, adoptive, spiritual, or chosen, mothers shape destinies. They fight battles seen and unseen. They stand in the gap. They protect their homes with the courage of Jael and the wisdom of Proverbs 31.

May every woman watching feel celebrated, strengthened, and reminded that God sees your labor, your tears, and your faith. You are a living testimony of Hebrews 11:35.

Happy Mother’s Day. You are loved. You are valued. You are essential.
